So, whats new !

The MaxxDirectory is continuing to climb the ranks. All seems well.

Over the past five weeks we have seen our rank, according to Alexa increase as follows:

• 1646185
• 1546185
• 1449304
• 1403771
• 1403675

  and then today it has increased again, which was the biggest rise we have ever seen and is now reading 965,030 !

The page views have gone up 42.9% in one week, the reach over the past three months has risen by 167%. There’s no doubt that if we carry on the way we are it will soon be in the top 100,000, thats our aim anyway, then we have to crack the top 10,000. I know for sure that our efforts will not stop until this site is the biggest and ONLY site that people use to find parts for their modified car.

After looking at the competition which is out there, we can see that overall, our site is being used alot more and is being marketed in exactly the right places. We are not only getting traffic from the heart of the car clubs but also, google and yahoo searches.

As we continue to advertise the directory, the page rank and amount of traffic can only get bigger and better.

More guides have been added, one of which is now supported by Craigsplates.com

We now have the search engine friendly URL’s working, which again will be great for the site and search engines. For example:

Over the next few weeks we are expecting even more traffic and a much higher page rank, a few things have been done over the past few days that should hopefully have a big impact on the whole site. Fingers crossed.

Last but not least we now have a more informative and useful “submit your company” page which helps potential advertisers understand what the sites about.

The saga continues and the sites are getting better by the day, more work has been done to the MaxxDirectory. Page rank has gone up again, hits are increasing, all is looking good.

Following a meeting with our business mentor a few things have come to our attention that we need to resolve asap. The both of us took a drive out, got out of the office atmosphere and discussed what is happening and what isn’t happening and have made a few decisions about the roles we play within the business.

We both have distractions that need taking control of, and we both sometimes do tasks that the other one should really be doing. Anyway, we have given ourselves a daily task sheet and will be reporting on the jobs we do and managing our time better.

From Wednesday 8th August we are taking a new outlook, and getting out heads down and start hitting things alot harder.

Since the last blog entry we have been cracking on with the marketing of the MaxxDirectory

We are climbing higher on the search engines by the day, and the page rank has  increased alot recently. We want to crack the search term “modified car parts” and appear on page one of google as we have done on yahoo.

So far this is our google position for: modified car parts , and this is the yahoo position for modified car parts.

Over the next few months we aim to be coming up for searches such as:

bodystyling
body styling

car insurance

interior styling

performance car parts

window tinting

There are other terms too, it would be nice for every category on the directory to come up on page one. One day i’m sure it will.

Last but not least there are more and more banners being placed on modified car sites and other related sites each week, pushing more traffic to the website.
