Maxxd Marketing Solutions started trading in October 2006. We had been working on setting the business up since May 2004 and was waiting for the right moment where we could afford to leave our full time jobs and fulfil our long term dreams.

The business is owned by two friends, Olly and myself (Dave). We have both had an interest in modified and performance cars since we were 18 and initially formed a car enthusiast’s car club. From this we steamed into the modified car scene and soon found ourselves spending thousands of pounds on our cars and attending car shows up and down the UK. It wasn’t until we both reached about 20 years old that our expensive hobby started forming into random business ideas. We had always been keen internet users from a young age and it wasn’t until we started using the internet to find the parts we needed that the idea for the MaxxDirectory entered our heads.

In December 2004, the domain names; MaxxDirectory.com and MaxxDirectory.co.uk were purchased and our idea began to take form

From that date the website was designed and built and the marketing plans began. It took us over two years to get the site to a stage where it was working properly, full of relevant information and was actually coming up on the search engines for relevant search terms. Although it took us a while to get the site looking and working right we have also carried out alot of market research in order to get the sales and marketing approach right.

2007 was the first official year for the MaxxDirectory and between February and October we have over attracted over sixty-five companies who have all subscribed to a premium listing. The site has over four hundred free listings across the various categories and over the next year or so we would like a percentage of these to upgrade and start receiving the benefits of having a premium listing. Many of the companies on the directory have seen an increase in the number of visitors to their website, some have even had jobs totalling up to the value of £10,000.

In addition to advertising on the MaxxDirectory we also offer a range of marketing services for the Modified and Performance Car sector. We are not just another internet directory.
